Rainy Fall Saturday

Posted on October 22, 2022

Fall colors are starting to go away as the rain and wind has knocked most leaves off by now. Most bird migrations have peaked. Fall is not one of my most favorite times. Aping and summer have to probably be my favorites.

Another for the #osprey files. Parent Osprey broug Another for the #osprey files. Parent Osprey brought this fish but it didn’t last long as it was soon falling over the edge of the nest. 🪹 it has been really cool watching this family grow from the first parent securing and adding some building material to the nest. As I write this now I can hear baby calling the Osprey song.

Used the #digiscope to the first real good look Used the #digiscope to the first real good look at the osprey baby for the first time since the parents nested. It is over 90° F here. Amazing how the parent provides shade as the both have their mouths open trying to stay cool. This was such a great experience to watch this family. Isn’t nature amazing?

Unless it has changed, @n_o_c_s didn’t really shar Unless it has changed, @n_o_c_s didn’t really share a way to keep your end caps on the binoculars handy. I found myself always searching. Well recently I was out and thought 💭 “Damn there is a lot of neck strap here” as I started to look it over I came up with a way to keep your end caps close without hunting for them in the bottom of the bag. My solution was to incorporate them into some of the neck strap slack. This is my setup now and I have all my caps when I need the to protect the optics when I am done birding. #nocs #nocsprovisions #tinybinoculars #diy
